What's newTyson Foerster is a game-time decision; Buffalo expects Rasmus Dahlin and Jason Zucker back.

The Philadelphia Flyers will try to earn their first road victory and a third straight win overall when they visit the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The game at KeyBank Center begins at 7:30 p.m. ET and airs on TNT, truTV and HBO Max.

Philadelphia’s game preview highlights a recent change to the power play: coach Rick Tocchet moved left-handed shooter Trevor Zegras from the right half-wall to the left, giving him room to attack with his stick on his natural side. Matvei Michkov now has the right flank to himself.

Tyson Foerster’s availability remains uncertain. Tocchet said the forward would be a game-time decision after he took turns on the top line at Wednesday’s morning skate. Foerster missed Monday’s win over Colorado.

Michkov has scored in three consecutive games, producing four goals and five points in that span. He scored twice in Monday’s 3-2 victory over Colorado, which followed Philadelphia’s 3-1 win against Ottawa on Saturday. The Flyers are 2-6-3 after opening the season with nine losses.

Dan Vladar and Joseph Woll have alternated recent starts. The Flyers’ preview suggests Vladar would be next if that rotation continues; it does not confirm Wednesday’s starter. Woll made 24 saves against Colorado.

Ruff said Rasmus Dahlin and Jason Zucker are ready to return for Buffalo. Dahlin missed three games with an upper-body injury, while Zucker is set for his season debut following sports hernia surgery.

Buffalo enters at 4-3-2 and has played beyond regulation in each of its past three games. Wednesday is the first of three meetings between the clubs this season.
