Flyers assign Alex Bump to Lehigh Valley
The forward returns to the Phantoms after eight NHL appearances this season.
Alex Bump is heading back to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The AHL club announced Monday that the Philadelphia Flyers had assigned the forward to their affiliate.
Bump has appeared in eight games for Philadelphia this season. His previous stint with Lehigh Valley produced seven goals during a five-game scoring streak before the Flyers recalled him Oct. 19.
He had five goals and four assists in 17 NHL games last season, followed by two goals in six playoff appearances. With the Phantoms, he recorded 11 goals and 15 assists in 36 games.
Lehigh Valley begins a three-game road trip Wednesday at Laval, where Bump can extend the goal streak he left behind in October.
