Flyers announce Independence Edition campaign with Liberty Bell branding

Philadelphia’s new campaign includes 10 themed home games, collectible postcards and a retail collection.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced their Independence Edition campaign Tuesday, adding new branding and fan activities to the club’s Hometown Remix uniform programme.

The team’s On the Fly Productions group created the campaign, which draws on Philadelphia’s history and the United States’ 250th anniversary. A new Liberty Bell mark accompanies lettering influenced by the U.S. Constitution.

Philadelphia plans 10 Independence Edition home games. Each will offer collectible postcards depicting local landmarks, neighbourhoods or city history, with contributions from local artists and the club’s own staff. One fan at each game will receive a card signed by a Flyers player with a personal message.

Xfinity Mobile Arena will use the campaign’s branding and video presentation during those games, including an opening segment celebrating the city.

The Flyers also announced a retail collection featuring New Era, ’47, Starter, TravisMathew and Fanatics products. The club said the items were available online and would be sold at the arena when doors opened for Tuesday’s game.
