Flames Re-Sign Brennan Othmann to One-Year, Two-Way Deal

The 23-year-old forward's extension carries a $975,000 value after he split last season among New York, Calgary, Hartford and the Wranglers.

The Calgary Flames re-signed forward Brennan Othmann to a one-year, two-way contract extension worth $975,000, the team announced Friday.

Othmann, 23, joined Calgary in a March 6 trade after splitting the first part of the 2025-26 season between the New York Rangers and AHL Hartford.

He recorded two points in two games with the Flames, then appeared in 14 games for the Calgary Wranglers.

The Rangers selected Othmann 16th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft. He won back-to-back gold medals with Canada at the 2022 and 2023 World Junior Championship.
