Ducks Sign Cutter Gauthier to Six-Year, $81 Million Contract
Anaheim locked up its 22-year-old leading scorer on a deal carrying a $13.5 million average annual value.
The Anaheim Ducks signed Cutter Gauthier to a six-year contract through the 2031-32 season, the team announced Tuesday. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported the deal is worth $81 million and carries a $13.5 million average annual value.
"We are pleased to get Cutter signed to a long-term deal and have him in camp on time," general manager Pat Verbeek said in the team's announcement. "He's a major part of our young core, a pure goal-scoring talent that will continue progressing into an elite NHL player."
Gauthier, 22, led Anaheim with 41 goals and 69 points in 76 regular-season games in 2025-26. He added four goals and eight assists in 12 playoff games.
"This is a very exciting day for my family and me," Gauthier said. "I'm so pleased to be able to sign long term with the Ducks and be part of what I believe is a great future."
Gauthier scored 20 goals and 44 points in 82 games as a rookie in 2024-25. The Philadelphia Flyers selected him fifth overall in the 2022 NHL Draft, then traded him to Anaheim for Jamie Drysdale and a 2025 second-round pick on Jan. 8, 2024.
