Ducks name Joshua Conger this season’s 21st Duck

The teenage charity founder was surprised by the team at practice and will join Anaheim on the ice for Sunday’s home opener.

The Anaheim Ducks named teenage charity founder Joshua Conger as this season’s 21st Duck on Thursday, Oct. 1. He will join the team on the ice at Honda Center for Sunday’s home opener against Florida.

Coach Joel Quenneville presented Conger with a personalised Ducks jersey during a visit to practice with his family. The honour recognises a fan whose perseverance or contributions to the community stand out.

Conger and his family run Joshua’s Joyful Giving, which supplies toys, activity bags and other items to children receiving medical care. The Ducks’ official profile says its Adopt a Local Family initiative began in 2025 to support families facing serious medical conditions.
