The Nashville Predators could have Mavrik Bourque back when they visit the Boston Bruins on Thursday, Oct. 22. The forward has missed four games with an upper-body injury and took part fully in Wednesday's practice, including line rushes, according to Nashville's game-day report.

Coach Andrew Brunette said he hoped Bourque would return soon, possibly against Boston. His comments did not confirm that Bourque would play Thursday. Defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin also practised alongside Brady Skjei as he awaits his first appearance for Nashville this season.

The game at TD Garden begins at 6 p.m. CT, or 7 p.m. ET, and opens a two-game trip for Nashville. The Predators last played Saturday, beating St. Louis 5-2, and now face six games over 10 days.

Boston's five-game winning streak ended with an overtime defeat in Dallas on Tuesday. Brunette said Nashville needed a stronger opening than it produced against the Blues as the club starts its road trip.
