Canucks Trim Preseason Roster With 11 Moves

Vancouver assigned five players to Abbotsford, released five others from professional tryouts and returned Lucian Bernat to junior hockey.

The Vancouver Canucks reduced their preseason roster by 11 players Monday, leaving 46 players in camp.

Forwards Vilmer Alriksson, Gabriel Chiarot and Anri Ravinskis and goaltenders Aku Koskenvuo and Ty Young were assigned to the American Hockey League's Abbotsford Canucks.

Vancouver also released forwards Austin Brimmer and Bennett Schimek and defensemen Joe Arntsen, Tim Rego and Gavin White from their professional tryouts. All five will join Abbotsford.

Forward Lucian Bernat was assigned to his junior team.
