Canadiens bring Engstrom back, scratch Reinbacher against Sharks
Jakub Dobes will start in goal as Montreal hosts San Jose at the Bell Centre on Tuesday.
Adam Engstrom will return to Montreal’s lineup against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, Oct. 20, with David Reinbacher a healthy scratch.
Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis confirmed the changes after the team’s optional morning skate at the Bell Centre. Jakub Dobes will start in goal. The game begins at 7 p.m. ET.
Engstrom sat out Montreal’s 4-3 overtime win against Buffalo on Saturday. NHL.com’s projected-lineup report says he will replace Reinbacher against San Jose.
Mike Matheson was among the 13 players who took part in the morning skate. NHL.com reports that he will miss a fourth consecutive game despite participating.
The Sharks are playing for the second night in a row after a 3-1 loss in Toronto on Monday.
