Callum Tung Posts First AHL Shutout as Wolf Pack Blank Bruins
Hartford goaltender Callum Tung stopped 28 shots in Providence to send the Wolf Pack to a third straight win to start the season.

Callum Tung got his first career AHL shutout on Friday night, and the Hartford Wolf Pack made it stand up for a 2-0 win over the Providence Bruins at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
It was Hartford's third straight win to open the season. Tung stopped 28 shots and improved to 2-0-0.
Hartford scored first for the first time this season. Nathan Aspinall tapped a Marc Del Gaizo shot on net, Jiří Patera made the stop, and the rebound slid to the goaltender's right, where Glenn Gawdin picked it up and scored at 10:01. The goal was the first of Gawdin's time with Hartford. Aspinall's assist was the first of his professional career, and Taylor Raddysh drew the secondary helper.
Tung was busiest in the middle frame, turning aside 12 shots to keep it 1-0 through 40 minutes. He added seven more saves in the third.
Justin Dowling closed it out with his first goal of the season at 19:49 of the third period, hitting the empty net on a feed from Raddysh. The assist was Raddysh's second of the night and gave him his first multi-point game as a Wolf Pack player.
Hartford plays its annual home opener at PeoplesBank Arena on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 6:00 p.m., hosting the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
