Blues Open Training Camp With 48-Player Roster
St. Louis began camp Thursday with a 48-player group before a four-game preseason slate.
The St. Louis Blues opened 2026-27 training camp Thursday with 48 players at Centene Community Ice Center.
The club will hold practices and a scrimmage Thursday and Friday before beginning its four-game preseason schedule Saturday against the Dallas Stars at Enterprise Center.
This is the Blues' first camp with Alexander Steen as general manager and Robert Thomas as captain. Colton Parayko, Philip Broberg, Jake Neighbours and Dylan Holloway make up the alternate-captain group.
Among the 48 players are Mason McTavish, Connor McMichael, Ross Johnston and Brandon Carlo. Joel Hofer and Jordan Binnington are also in camp.
Several prospects will also be evaluated. The Athletic identified Justin Carbonneau as a candidate to continue his development with Springfield of the AHL, while defensemen Adam Jiricek and Theo Lindstein are among the players competing for larger roles in the organization.
St. Louis begins an 84-game regular season Oct. 2 at Dallas. The NHL expanded the schedule from 82 games by adding two divisional matchups.
