Blue Jackets Trim Camp Roster to 45 With Four Moves
Columbus loaned Max McCue to Cleveland, assigned Roman Ahcan and Tate Singleton to the Monsters and returned Owen Griffin to Guelph.
The Columbus Blue Jackets cut four players from their training camp roster Tuesday, reducing the group to 45.
Forward Max McCue was loaned to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters, while forwards Roman Ahcan and Tate Singleton were assigned to Cleveland on AHL contracts. Forward Owen Griffin was returned to the OHL's Guelph Storm.
President of hockey operations and general manager Don Waddell announced the moves. Columbus now has 24 forwards, 15 defensemen and six goaltenders in camp.
The Blue Jackets play their second preseason game Tuesday at KeyBank Center against the Buffalo Sabres. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, with coverage on the club's app and Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan.
