Alex Tuch will face the Buffalo Sabres for the first time since joining the Washington Capitals when the teams meet Saturday, Oct. 24, at Capital One Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Tuch told reporters Friday that he was excited to see his former teammates and had arranged to have dinner with them before the game. He said he misses the group while feeling settled in Washington.

The forward spent five seasons with Buffalo, the club he supported growing up near Syracuse, New York. His first trip back to Buffalo as a Capital is scheduled for March 18.

Tuch has five goals and seven points through nine games for Washington. He has shifted from right wing to the left side, according to NHL.com, and said he has begun finding chemistry with different linemates.
