The Minnesota Wild have recalled defenceman Matt Kiersted from the Iowa Wild of the AHL, and goaltender Filip Gustavsson has been placed on long-term injured reserve with a lower-body injury. General manager Bill Guerin announced both moves Friday.

Kiersted has two shots on goal in two games with Iowa this season. He played six games with Minnesota last year and recorded one assist. In 49 games with Iowa, he had 12 points (four goals, eight assists), 115 shots on goal and 38 penalty minutes, and his plus-2 rating was the best on the team.

Minnesota signed him as a free agent on July 2, 2025. He wears No. 26.

The Wild visit the Panthers on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. CT.
