Wild recall Mason Shaw from Iowa

The Iowa captain has 10 points in 11 AHL games and rejoined Minnesota before Friday’s home game against San Jose.

The Minnesota Wild recalled forward Mason Shaw from the AHL’s Iowa Wild on Friday, the club announced.

Shaw, who turned 28 on Tuesday, captains Iowa and leads the team with 32 shots. He has four goals and six assists in 11 games this season. He also wore the ‘C’ for Manitoba last season, when he led the Moose in points (44) and assists (29).

Minnesota drafted Shaw 97th overall in 2017. He has played all 82 of his NHL games for the Wild, collecting eight goals and 12 assists.

The Wild host the San Jose Sharks at 7 p.m. CT on Friday.
