Ullmark Works With New Senators Goaltending Coordinator Before Camp
Maciej Szwoch spent four days with Ottawa’s starter in Sweden as Ullmark prepared for the 2026-27 season.
Linus Ullmark enters Ottawa Senators training camp after four days of offseason work in Sweden with Maciej Szwoch, the club's new coordinator of goaltending scouting and development. The Senators said Szwoch visited Ullmark for four days shortly before training camp.
The Senators said Ullmark feels better prepared than he did at the start of last season, when he felt he was trying to catch up. His last competitive appearances came in Ottawa's four-game first-round playoff loss to Carolina, in which he recorded a .932 save percentage and 2.03 goals-against average, according to the Ottawa Sun.
The Senators also have a new backup in Samuel Ersson, who played for Philadelphia last season. Ottawa signed him to a two-year contract in July.
