Rangers sign Luke Glendening to professional tryout

The veteran centre gets another opportunity after attending Tampa Bay’s training camp on a tryout earlier this fall.

The New York Rangers announced Monday, Oct. 19, that they have signed centre Luke Glendening to a professional tryout agreement.

Glendening attended the Tampa Bay Lightning’s training camp on a tryout earlier this fall but was released before the regular season began. He played for the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers last season.

The move gives Glendening another chance to earn an NHL contract. He has also played for the Detroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars.
