Panthers Invite Nathan Bastian to Training Camp on PTO
The 28-year-old winger is one of 30 forwards on Florida's 51-player training camp roster.
Nathan Bastian will attend Florida Panthers training camp on a professional tryout agreement, according to the 51-player roster the club released Tuesday.
Bastian, 28, is one of 30 forwards invited to camp, which opens Thursday. The official roster lists him as an unsigned PTO after he spent the 2025-26 season with the Dallas Stars.
He appeared in 36 NHL games for Dallas last season, recording six goals and one assist. He also had three points in four games with the AHL's Texas Stars during a conditioning stint.
Bastian has 39 goals and 36 assists in 312 career NHL games with New Jersey, Seattle and Dallas. The 6-foot-4 winger has built his game around forechecking and physical play, giving him a short camp window to compete for a depth role with the Panthers.
A tryout does not guarantee a contract or a roster spot. Florida opens its preseason schedule Sunday against Carolina.
