Michael DiPietro won his fourth straight start Thursday when the Boston Bruins beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 6–2. The 27-year-old goaltender has started five of Boston’s first 17 games and has a .925 save percentage in the NHL’s season statistics.

The streak began with DiPietro’s first NHL win, against Anaheim on Oct. 16. Six days later he shut out Nashville, then beat Chicago in overtime on Oct. 31 before making his next start in Pittsburgh.

DiPietro told reporters in Pittsburgh that his focus between starts is staying ready for the next call. He came into the season after winning the AHL’s outstanding goaltender award in back-to-back seasons with Providence.
