McCann says lower-body pain is gone as Kraken season approaches
The Kraken winger says a summer procedure and targeted training have restored his conditioning after an injury-hit season.
Jared McCann says he no longer feels the lower-body pain that limited him last season. A summer clean-up procedure and targeted training left the Seattle Kraken winger feeling fully able to condition for the new season, according to an interview published by the club Monday.
McCann played 52 games in 2025-26 and scored 20 goals despite multiple injuries. Seattle shut him down late in the season after it had been eliminated from playoff contention. Coach Lane Lambert said McCann looked fast on the first day of camp.
“I am looking to create every single night,” McCann told the Kraken. Seattle opens its regular season Thursday, Oct. 1, at Calgary.
