Matt Poitras Brings 85 AHL Points Into Bruins Roster Fight
The 22-year-old signed a one-year, two-way deal after producing 44 points for Providence last season.
Matt Poitras entered Bruins training camp on a new one-year, two-way contract through the 2026-27 season. The deal carries an $850,000 NHL cap hit.
Poitras recorded 13 goals and 31 assists in 69 games for Providence last season. He has 85 points in 109 career AHL games, compared with seven goals and 20 assists in 69 NHL games for Boston.
He appeared in three NHL games last season and scored one goal. Boston originally selected Poitras in the second round, 54th overall, in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Poitras is on Boston's training camp roster. The 22-year-old will try to turn his AHL production into a regular NHL role.
