The Toronto Maple Leafs face Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on Saturday, Oct. 24, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, NHL.com reported Friday.

McDavid enters the matchup with eight goals and 23 assists through 10 games. Toronto captain Auston Matthews said limiting his time and space would be central to the challenge, while acknowledging that elite players can create chances under pressure.

Gavin McKenna, who skated with McDavid during the summer, told NHL.com that experiencing NHL play himself had given him a greater appreciation of the Edmonton captain’s production.

Toronto and Edmonton have each won three consecutive games. The Maple Leafs are 6-4-2 and the Oilers are 8-1-1.
