Evgeni Malkin's points will be worth money off the ice again this season. The Pittsburgh Penguins alternate captain will continue his "I'm Score for Kids" initiative for a fifth consecutive season in 2026-27, it was announced Wednesday, donating $710 for each regular-season point he records to Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh Morgantown.

Local McDonald's owner/operators have pledged to match his donation again.

Malkin launched the program before the 2022-23 season. He had 61 points in 2025-26, which produced a $43,310 donation. The restaurants' match brought last season's total to $86,620, and the initiative has now generated $370,620 for the organization.

"I'm Score for Kids is something that motivates me each year to work hard," Malkin said. "When I visit the Ronald McDonald House and see what they do for the kids and their families, it makes me proud to have a small part in it. I hope it inspires my fans to support Ronald McDonald House as well."

Eleanor Reigel, the charity's CEO, said Malkin's continued commitment "makes a meaningful difference for families navigating a difficult medical journey, helping ensure they have the resources they need close to their child's medical care."

Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh Morgantown provides a place to stay for families who travel to get medical care for their children, keeping them close to their sick child with meals, daily essentials and a safe environment. In 2025, the organization served more than 820 families across over 21,000 nights of stay, welcoming families from 37 states and five countries for stays ranging from a few days to several months.

Its Care Mobile also saw 1,100 patients last year, providing services such as physicals and vaccinations at nearly 200 clinics across southwestern Pennsylvania.
