Lindholm feels healthy as Bruins prepare for trip finale in Dallas
Boston keeps Lindholm with Mittelstadt and Hagens at practice, while Pavel Zacha remains a game-time decision for Tuesday.
Elias Lindholm says he is feeling healthy again as the Boston Bruins prepare to finish their four-game road trip against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
The 31-year-old centre, who dealt with a back injury last season, has three goals and four assists in nine appearances. Three of those points came in Boston’s past two games. He told the Bruins’ website that this was the “first time in a long time that my body feels good.”
At Monday’s practice in Dallas, Lindholm remained between Casey Mittelstadt and James Hagens. He also has a role on Boston’s first power-play unit. Coach Marco Sturm praised his reliability and two-way play, saying the scoring was a reward for work the team already valued.
Pavel Zacha also practised in a regular jersey after missing Saturday’s game with an upper-body injury. Sturm said his availability would depend on how he felt following practice and Tuesday’s morning skate. Zacha remains a game-time decision.
Monday’s combinations do not settle Tuesday’s lineup: Sturm told reporters that the team would discuss its choices before the game. The trip finale at American Airlines Center starts at 8 p.m. ET.
