Islanders visit Predators with defence pairings unsettled
New York kept its forward lines together at Monday’s practice ahead of Tuesday’s game in Nashville.
The New York Islanders visit the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. ET. The clubs are meeting for the first time this season. MSGSN2 will carry the game.
New York kept its forward lines unchanged at Monday’s practice following Sunday’s 6-3 loss to Dallas. Coach Pete DeBoer rotated his defencemen and had not settled on the pairings, according to the Islanders’ official preview. The club said further lineup information would follow Tuesday’s morning skate.
Bo Horvat had two assists against Dallas and leads the Islanders with five goals and 12 points. New York’s five-game point streak ended with that defeat.
Nashville enters after Sunday’s 6-2 win over Colorado, when the Predators scored four power-play goals. Ryan O’Reilly contributed two goals and two assists, while Steven Stamkos scored twice.
