Islanders recall Mitchell Chaffee from Hamilton

The New York Islanders brought Mitchell Chaffee back from AHL Hamilton on an emergency recall on Monday, Oct. 19. The club also placed defenceman Alexander Romanov on injured reserve.

Chaffee joined the Islanders at Northwell Health Ice Center that morning and practised on a line with Kyle MacLean and Casey Cizikas. Matias Maccelli and Cal Ritchie were absent after leaving Saturday’s win over Toronto.

Chaffee has six points in six games with Hamilton this season. The Islanders’ announcement lists four goals and two assists. He signed a one-year contract with New York during the summer.
