Emil Heineman skated with Bo Horvat and Kyle Palmieri on the New York Islanders’ top line at their Nov. 6 practice at Northwell Health Ice Center. Heineman had skated on the second line Wednesday. The Islanders host the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.

Ondřej Palát took Heineman’s place alongside Brayden Schenn and Victor Eklund. Simon Holmström, who skated with Horvat and Palmieri on Wednesday, joined Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Anthony Duclair on the third line.

Mathew Barzal, Ryan Pulock and Matias Maccelli wore non-contact jerseys for a third straight day, the Islanders said. Wednesday was Barzal’s first practice with the team this season as he recovers from inflammation in his left knee. Pulock is recovering from an upper-body injury and Maccelli from a lower-body injury.
