Miro Heiskanen is day to day and is unlikely to play when the Dallas Stars visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, NHL.com reported Wednesday, citing Stars coach Glen Gulutzan.

Heiskanen left during the second period of Dallas’s 6-5 victory at Washington on Tuesday. Sportsnet reported that the Stars ruled him out for the remainder of the game with an upper-body injury. His final shift included contact with Capitals forward Justin Sourdif along the boards.

The defenceman has three goals and eight assists through 15 appearances this season and averages 24:53 of ice time, according to NHL.com. Thursday’s game in Columbus is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
