Heinola records three assists in Henderson shutout win

Ville Heinola assisted on Henderson's first three goals as the Silver Knights beat the Coachella Valley Firebirds 4-0 at Lee's Family Forum on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

All three assists came on the power play. Heinola helped set up Matyas Sapovaliv at 9:09 of the opening period and again at 12:12 of the second. He then collected another assist when Alexander Holtz scored at 18:13 of the second period, giving Henderson a 3-0 lead.

The defenceman finished with three assists, matching the three points Holtz produced with a goal and two helpers. RotoWire reported that Heinola had four points through his first four AHL games of the season.

Henderson converted three of its six power plays while killing all seven Coachella Valley opportunities. The Silver Knights were outshot 26-25 but held the Firebirds scoreless, ending Coachella Valley's four-game point streak.

Sapovaliv has three points and 11 shots through his first four games this season, according to CBS Sports’ RotoWire report.
