Golden Knights seek defensive improvement in Columbus
Vegas has lost its past two games 6-2 and visits the Blue Jackets on Saturday to finish a two-game road trip.
The Vegas Golden Knights visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday, Oct. 24, seeking to end a two-game losing streak. The game at Nationwide Arena begins at 7 p.m. ET, or 4 p.m. PT.
Vegas is 8-4-0 and Columbus is 3-5-0. The Golden Knights have conceded six goals in each of their past two games, including a 6-2 loss to St. Louis to begin this road trip.
In its morning skate report, Vegas identified limiting scoring chances and avoiding another early deficit as priorities. The club has surrendered the opening goal in all four of its losses this season. Jack Eichel said the number of chances the team was allowing concerned him.
Eichel leads Vegas with 19 points, including six goals and 13 assists. Charlie Coyle has seven points to lead Columbus, according to the Golden Knights’ preview.
