Four Roadrunners Regulars Head To Mammoth Rookie Camp

The Utah Mammoth released their rookie camp roster on social media Tuesday, and Tucson fans will recognize a good chunk of it: forwards Owen Allard and Daniil But, goaltender Michael Hrabal and defenseman Artem Duda are all on the list.

Allard played 69 games with the Roadrunners last season and put up eight goals and 11 assists. His spot in the lineup moved around nightly depending on what head coach Steve Potvin needed, but the 22-year-old forward's decision-making tightened up as the year went on. He also won fittest player at Mammoth development camp in each of the last two seasons.

But split the season between levels. He appeared in 29 games with the Mammoth, scoring three goals and adding four assists, and in 41 games with Tucson he produced 19 goals and 20 assists while working the top two lines and the power play.

Hrabal signed his three-year entry-level contract with Utah in March 2026 and joined the Roadrunners on a pro tryout once UMass finished its season. He went 3-1-1 in five games with a 2.96 goals-against average and a.897 save percentage. Over 82 games with the Minutemen from 2023 through 2025-26, he posted a 2.26 GAA and a.927 save percentage.

Duda has been in Tucson since 2024-25 and has played 97 games there across two seasons, with eight goals and 34 assists. A leg injury ended his 2025-26 campaign before the halfway point. If he stays healthy, he projects as an all-situations piece on the Roadrunners blue line.

Tucson's own preseason showcase is next on the calendar. The Roadrunners host the Southwest Showdown on September 26 and 27 at Tucson Arena, four games over two days involving the Roadrunners, Colorado Eagles, Henderson Silver Knights and Texas Stars.
