The New Jersey Devils visit the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 13, to complete their first back-to-back of the season. The NHL lists the game for 6 p.m. ET.

New Jersey enters at 2-3-0 after Monday’s 4–1 home defeat to Ottawa. Detroit is 1-3-1 and has lost its last two games, including Saturday’s 1–0 shootout decision in Montreal.

Scoring has been a problem for Detroit, which has produced 10 goals through 5 games and has been shut out twice. Alex DeBrincat leads the Red Wings with five points, comprising two goals and three assists. Viktor Arvidsson has scored three goals, while Lucas Raymond has four assists.

Jack Hughes has one goal and four assists through New Jersey’s first 5 games. The Devils are also looking to build on a power play that scored three times against Vancouver on Saturday after converting once in their opening three games.

Tuesday opens a three-game season series between the clubs. The Devils’ preview says coach Sheldon Keefe will provide lineup and injury updates at his pre-game media availability; it does not yet confirm a starting goaltender.
