Dan Cleary is the interim general manager of the Grand Rapids Griffins. The AHL club lists him in that role on its staff page and posted a media availability with him on Sept. 29. Cleary also remains the Detroit Red Wings' assistant director of player development.

Cleary takes over the Griffins duties previously held by Shawn Horcoff. Detroit named Horcoff its interim general manager on Sept. 15, after he had served as the Red Wings' assistant GM and Grand Rapids GM.
