Couturier and Foerster are game-time decisions for Flyers against Avalanche
Both forwards missed Sunday’s practice ahead of Philadelphia’s home game on Monday.
The Philadelphia Flyers will wait until game time to determine whether Sean Couturier and Tyson Foerster can play against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday, Oct. 19. The forwards missed practice Sunday, coach Rick Tocchet said in the NHL’s status report. The home game starts at 7 p.m. ET.
Foerster took a shot to his right hand or wrist during Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Ottawa. He sat out the closing 3:59 of the first period and rejoined the game in the second, but could not skate at Sunday’s practice after being assessed following the game. Tocchet also said Couturier was dealing with the effects of Saturday’s game.
Owen Tippett was absent from practice as well after an upper-body injury kept him out against Ottawa. The Flyers are also missing Travis Konecny with a lower-body injury and defencemen Rasmus Ristolainen and Cam York with upper-body injuries. Konecny and Ristolainen are on injured reserve.
