Clayton Keller played his 700th NHL game Thursday when the Utah Mammoth visited the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre. Utah’s captain entered the night with 226 goals and 391 assists in 699 games. He had three assists Tuesday in Utah’s 3-2 win at Toronto.

The milestone came in Keller’s 10th full NHL season. He played every game in 2022-23 after returning from a broken femur he suffered the previous March.

Utah coach André Tourigny credited Keller’s preparation away from the rink, pointing to his attention to nutrition and the way he approaches the details of his game.
