Chabot returns to regular practice jersey in Las Vegas
The Ottawa defenceman joined the main group Monday, but his availability against Vegas remained uncertain.
Thomas Chabot practised with Ottawa's main group in Las Vegas on Monday, Oct. 26, wearing a regular jersey after previously skating in a yellow non-contact jersey. It was his first time skating with the main group since an upper-body injury forced him out of the Oct. 17 loss to Philadelphia, the Senators reported.
The captain worked alongside Cam Crotty on the fourth defence pair during line rushes.
"I feel good, and slowly coming back," Chabot said after practice. "But we're slowly feeling better every day, and obviously it's nice to be back in a normal jersey at practice."
Coach Travis Green was not sure whether Chabot would dress Tuesday against the Vegas Golden Knights, but said he was "definitely close to playing."
Linus Ullmark also travelled to Las Vegas with Ottawa but did not practise Monday, according to the club.
