The Montreal Canadiens have laid out their Hockey Fights Cancer program for November, a month of fundraising, awareness and community events aimed at people and families dealing with cancer.

The centrepiece is the club's annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by CIBC on Nov. 14, when the Canadiens host the Colorado Avalanche. Montreal will welcome nearly 60 children supported by Leucan, along with their families, as its guests for the evening.

Their night begins with a pre-game party featuring gifts and games with the players' wives and girlfriends. Some of the guests will watch warmup from the Canadiens' bench, ride the Zamboni and line up with both teams on the blue lines for the anthems, then take in the game from suites provided by the team and a group of season suite holders.

To kick off the month, the club scheduled a live head-shaving on the concourse outside Section 113 during its Nov. 3 home game to promote Leucan's Shaved Head Challenge. The man in the chair, Gregory Belhumeur, started a personal fundraiser for Leucan to mark his 35th birthday with a goal of $10,000, became the top fundraiser among the challenge's current participants and has since raised his goal to $15,000.

Nov. 14 is also the second of five special 50/50 draws the Canadiens are holding this year. Proceeds from that night's in-arena and online draw go to the Guy Lafleur Fund at the CHUM, which backs personalized medicine and oncology research. An online auction opens the same day with Hockey Fights Cancer items autographed by current Canadiens and a jersey signed by Guy Lafleur, Yvan Cournoyer and Rejean Houle.

The club has also teamed up with Leucan and Petit Lem on a limited run of children's pyjamas, with all profits going to Leucan. They go on sale only at Tricolore Sports before the Nov. 14 game.

The Great Leucan Faceoff is back for a second year, asking hockey teams across Quebec to organize their own fundraisers between Oct. 15, 2026, and Feb. 23, 2027. Prizes include a private clinic at the Bell Centre, a guided tour and Canadiens merchandise.

Fans can take part by posting a photo of their "I Fight For" card on social media and tagging the Canadiens for a chance to be featured on the team's channels or in the arena.
