The Boston Bruins will try to extend their point streak to eight games when the San Jose Sharks visit TD Garden on Saturday, Oct. 24. The game begins at 7 p.m. ET.

Boston has won six of its past seven games. Its latest victory was a 6-0 shutout of Nashville on Thursday, and coach Marco Sturm said maintaining a consistent approach remains his priority.

The Bruins have been getting help throughout the lineup. Casey Mittelstadt scored the opening goal against Nashville, while Matt Poitras enters Saturday with points in five consecutive games. Sturm credited Mittelstadt’s work on his skating over the summer for improving his pace.

San Jose is seeking a third consecutive win after beating Ottawa 6-2 on Thursday. The Sharks had gone 1-3-1 in the five games before their current run.
