Blues Host Blackhawks With Veterans Back In The Lineup
St. Louis rolls out Pavel Buchnevich, Brandon Carlo, Cam Fowler and more for Thursday's preseason game at Enterprise Center.
More Blues veterans are set for preseason action. St. Louis hosts the Chicago Blackhawks at Enterprise Center on Thursday at 7 p.m. in its third preseason game, and head coach Jim Montgomery said the lineup will look a lot more like the real thing.
"You're going to see a lot of veterans tomorrow," Montgomery said Wednesday. "And then it'll be pretty much veterans the last game, like players we expect to play."
Pavel Buchnevich, Brandon Carlo, Cam Fowler, Connor McMichael, Jake Neighbours and Colton Parayko are all set to make their preseason debuts. For Carlo and McMichael, it will be their first game in a Blues sweater.
The club has already made two rounds of cuts, the most recent on Wednesday, trimming the training camp roster to 32 players. Forwards still in camp include Dalibor Dvorsky, Dillon Dube, Oskar Sundqvist and Nathan Walker, with Adam Jiricek, Theo Lindstein and Calle Rosen among the defencemen.
Chris Kerber and Joey Vitale have the radio call on 101 ESPN. Matrix Midwest carries the television broadcast, with a stream available through the Blues app for fans inside the team's broadcast territory.
