Blues announce Buchnevich’s absence for birth of his child

The Blues do not expect the forward to play Thursday in Minnesota.

Pavel Buchnevich has returned to St. Louis for the birth of his child, Blues general manager Alexander Steen announced Thursday, Oct. 15.

The club’s game preview says the forward is not expected to play against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. St. Louis will provide an update on his return to the lineup when one is available.

Buchnevich had three assists in Tuesday’s 7-2 win at Ottawa, bringing him to five points in six games this season, according to the Blues.
