Blackhawks recall Dillon Boucher, place Bowen Byram on injured reserve

Chicago brings Boucher up from Rockford, while Byram’s injured-reserve designation is retroactive to Oct. 15.

Dillon Boucher is joining the Chicago Blackhawks from their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. Chicago announced the forward’s recall Tuesday along with an injured-reserve move for defenceman Bowen Byram.

Byram has an upper-body injury, and his placement on injured reserve is retroactive to Oct. 15, the club said.

Boucher has appeared in seven games for Rockford this season and is still awaiting his NHL debut. Chicago’s next game is Wednesday, Nov. 4, against the Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena. The scheduled start is 7:30 p.m. ET, with TNT carrying the game nationally and WGN Radio providing radio coverage.
