The Colorado Avalanche will wear their Hometown Remix uniform for the first time Saturday when they host the Detroit Red Wings at Ball Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT, and Colorado has also designated the game as its Hockey Fights Cancer Night.
Saturday is the first of six games Colorado has scheduled in the new uniform, five of them at home. It is also the first of two meetings with Detroit this season. The clubs play again in Detroit on Dec. 3.
Both teams lost by a goal Thursday. Colorado fell 3-2 in overtime at home to Nashville, while Detroit lost 2-1 at home to Vegas.
