Avalanche Open Camp Ahead of Sept. 20 Utah Preseason Game
Colorado begins three days of on-ice sessions at Family Sports before hosting the Mammoth at Ball Arena on Sunday.
The Colorado Avalanche opened the on-ice portion of training camp Thursday at Family Sports, beginning a three-day schedule before their preseason opener.
The club scheduled two on-ice groups for Thursday and Friday, with sessions from 9 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m.
Saturday's schedule begins with the first group from 8:45 to 10:30 a.m., followed by the second group from noon to 2 p.m. The Avalanche said the group assignments would be announced separately from the initial camp roster.
Colorado will then host the Utah Mammoth on Sunday, Sept. 20, at Ball Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 5 p.m. MT.
The game also opens Utah's four-game preseason schedule. Colorado and Utah are scheduled to meet again Sept. 26 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
