The Colorado Avalanche close out their homestand Saturday against the Calgary Flames at Ball Arena, with puck drop at 8 p.m. MDT (10 p.m. ET). It is the last game on the Halloween schedule.

This is the second of three meetings between the teams this season. Colorado won the first 7-3 in Calgary on Oct. 8. The third is April 8 in Alberta.

The Avalanche (7-5-1) beat the New Jersey Devils 5-2 on Wednesday. Gabriel Landeskog, Nazem Kadri, Parker Kelly, Nathan MacKinnon and Jaden Schwartz scored, and Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 20 of 22 shots. MacKinnon is tied for fifth in the NHL with 22 points and has eight goals. Artturi Lehkonen is tied for fourth in the league with 10 goals. Colorado leads the NHL with 43 five-on-five goals.

The Flames (6-7-0) beat the Seattle Kraken 6-2 on Friday. Morgan Frost, Aydar Suniev, Matvei Gridin, Joel Farabee, Matt Coronato and Ryan Strome all scored. Gridin leads Calgary with five goals. Coronato and Farabee are tied for the team lead with 14 points.

Calgary also has history on its side for the date. The Flames are 10-2 on Halloween, the best winning percentage of any team on the holiday (.833). Colorado forward Martin Necas leads active players with 11 points in four Halloween games.

MacKinnon has 50 points in 34 regular-season games against the Flames. Cale Makar has 20 points in 15 games against them. Colorado's .786 points percentage at home is fifth best in the NHL this season, and MacKinnon's 16 home points are second most.
