Sherwood CODE Photon Pro Revises Flex Profile and Carbon Construction

Sherwood’s CODE Photon Pro stick revises the CODE platform around a refined Hybrid2 flex profile, a stiffer Energized Velocity Taper and Dual Carbon Frame construction. The relevant comparison is the senior CODE Encrypt Pro stick, whose official description already identifies a hybrid kickpoint, EVT taper and VR92 dampening. Hybrid flex and a dampened blade are continuities, rather than features arriving in CODE for the first time.

What changes in the construction

Sherwood’s 2026 catalogue lists Blackline NXT carbon fibre and Dual Carbon Frame for Photon Pro. Its older Encrypt Pro page specifies Blackline XXV, while Photon Pro’s official page highlights a reinforced hosel and DCF construction. Sherwood says the revised flex profile and stiffer taper support power and accuracy; it presents DCF as helping retain the new-stick feel for longer. Those are manufacturer performance claims, not durability or shooting results measured by The Lab.

The catalogue also identifies concave sidewalls with rounded corner radii, tactile grip, Featherlite XT balance and VR92 blade dampening. Encrypt Pro already lists tactile grip, Featherlite XT and VR92 with I-92 dampening inlays. The specification changes therefore sit alongside retained blade and layup features, rather than establishing an entirely different stick concept.

Match the length and variant

Sherwood’s catalogue separates the senior 60-inch Photon Pro in 68, 75 and 85 flex from the senior 64-inch version in 75, 85 and 95 flex. The standard Encrypt Pro manufacturer page lists a 60-inch length, making it the equivalent-length reference here. A longer stick’s flex options should not be substituted for the standard model’s.

On 5 October 2026, The Hockey Shop listed the 60-inch senior Photon Pro at CA$379.99. Its product data marked left-hand, 75-flex PP92 available, while right-hand, 75-flex PP90MX was unavailable. These are retailer checks for those specific configurations, not a manufacturer list price or a promise of stock in every curve. No launch date is inferred from catalogue or retailer listing dates.
