A quick-release stick at under $80 is the pitch with CCM's Ribcor 94K Senior, and the build details on CCM's own page explain who it is aimed at.
CCM's US product page (item HSRC94-SR, Ribcor collection) describes the stick as having a low kickpoint, which the brand says ensures "lightning-fast shot releases." The page also lists a "rounded R geometry" and a "composite stiff blade," which CCM says gives the stick durability. Those are manufacturer claims. Hockey.com has not tested the stick on the ice.
Price and options
CCM's US site lists the Senior at $76.99, with a pre-discount price of $109.99 shown beside it. The same page lists a Junior version at $69.99. The listed price may change; check the selected flex, curve and handedness for availability. It offers Senior flexes of 75 and 85, and Junior flexes of 40 and 50. For the Senior, the page shows a 29 curve and a 60.00 stick length. The page does not give a weight or a release date, so this should not be read as a new launch.
What the specs mean for a buyer
CCM describes the low kickpoint as a feature for fast shot releases. The Senior model lists 75 and 85 flex options, a rounded R shaft geometry and a stiff composite blade. These specifications describe the product; they do not establish how it performs for an individual player.
Bauer's stick guide defines flex as the force required to bend a stick one inch. That is more precise than saying a stick is 'fully flexed.' Choose flex with your height, weight and playing preference in mind.
CCM's page says free returns are available within 30 days on unused product in its original packaging, with shipping fees non-refundable.
