Zajíček credited with first goalie goal in Providence history
A Charlotte pass into its own empty net gave Simon Zajíček a goal to go with his 30 saves.

Simon Zajíček became the first goaltender credited with a goal in Providence Bruins history during Saturday's 6-2 home win over the Charlotte Checkers.
The goal followed a save by Zajíček. Charlotte recovered the rebound, but its subsequent pass travelled the length of the ice into the Checkers' empty net, according to Providence's game report.
The AHL credited the unassisted goal to Zajíček at 16:49 of the third period. It increased Providence's lead to 5-2 with 3:11 remaining.
Zajíček also made 30 saves on 32 shots at Amica Mutual Pavilion. The victory was Providence's first of the season.
