Yager scores overtime winner as Moose beat Stars 4-3
Nikita Chibrikov scored twice on the power play before Brayden Yager settled Sunday’s game in Winnipeg.

Brayden Yager scored 1:52 into overtime to give the Manitoba Moose a 4-3 victory over the Texas Stars at Canada Life Centre on Sunday, Oct. 18.
Nikita Chibrikov supplied two power-play goals for Manitoba, including the third-period equaliser after Texas had moved ahead 3-2.
Dylan Hryckowian opened the scoring for Texas only 18 seconds into the game, converting a pass from Ellis Rickwood. Colby Barlow answered before the first intermission, and Chibrikov’s first goal gave Manitoba a 2-1 lead late in the second period.
Texas responded with goals from Tristan Bertucci and Emil Hemming early in the third. Hemming’s goal was his first as a professional in North America, according to the Stars’ official recap. Chibrikov then brought Manitoba level again.
Yager finished the game with a shot from the right circle that beat Brandon Halverson. Thomas Milic made 30 saves for the Moose, while Halverson stopped 25 shots.
The result ended Texas’s four-game road trip. The Stars return home to face the Ontario Reign on Oct. 23 and 24.
