Wranglers Set For Saddledome Farewell Season
The Flames’ AHL affiliate opens its 2026-27 schedule Oct. 2, beginning a final season at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Calgary’s 2026-27 schedule has a farewell built into it: the Wranglers call the upcoming campaign their “Dome Farewell Season” at Scotiabank Saddledome, where they share a home venue with the Calgary Flames. The AHL club opens at home Friday, Oct. 2, against the Abbotsford Canucks, with puck drop at 7 p.m. MT.
The Wranglers are Calgary’s primary AHL affiliate. Their official release lists 72 regular-season games for 2026-27 and describes it as the organization’s final season at the Saddledome.
The Flames’ other minor-league affiliate is the Rapid City Rush of the ECHL. The Rush’s 2025 extension kept its agreement with Calgary and the Wranglers in place for multiple years. Rapid City plays in the ECHL’s Mountain Division and stages home games at Slumberland Furniture Ice at The Monument Ice Arena in South Dakota.
