The Minnesota Wild recalled forward Rieger Lorenz from the Iowa Wild on Friday and placed Nick Foligno on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. The NHL club also reassigned Tyler Pitlick to Iowa.

Lorenz has two goals and one assist through two AHL games this season, along with nine shots and a plus-3 rating. His goals, shots and plus-minus lead Iowa; his three points share the team lead.

The Calgary-born forward was Minnesota's second-round pick, 56th overall, in 2022. He wears No. 61.

Minnesota next visits the Florida Panthers on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT.
